Features

A feature summary for self-service streaming

Authenticate with Metamask

No need for a username and password, simply sign-in to the portal using your Metamask wallet on the Polygon network and start streaming. More information on how to authenticate and sign-in can be found here.

Deposit and Withdraw Funds

Since all payments for the service is through the use of cryptocurrency on the Polygon network (currently USDC only), you maintain full control of your deposits and the ability to withdraw your funds at all times. Once you login, you will authorize the streaming service and associated smart contracts to communicate with your wallet in order to provide the ability to fund (deposit) or withdraw cryptocurrency needed to stream.

Once a stream has been completed, the funds are then locked and unable to be withdrawn. Any remaining available funds (deposit) in the smart contract may be used for future streams or withdrawn back to your personal Metamask wallet. More information on depositing and withdrawing funds can be found here.

The smart contract serves as an escrow service between you and the streaming platform, and you remain in full control of any deposited funds. Our smart contract is located here.

Live Streaming

Schedule a live stream of your own. Simply configure the date and time, and the portal will give you the RTMP URL and key you need to start your stream from OBS, Zoom, or any other live streaming tool of your choice.

Video on Demand (VOD) Streaming

Upload and schedule a pre-recorded stream of your own. Simply upload your video file, configure the date and time you want the stream to be available, and the portal will give you the playback (m3u8) URL you need to playback your stream from within Decentraland or any other platform.

Stream Relay

Playback or relay an existing stream that otherwise isn't compatible or available for Decentraland playback - this is a popular one! Simply paste in the stream URL, configure the date and time, and the portal will give you the playback (m3u8) URL you need to playback your stream from within Decentraland or any other platform.

This feature is compatible with a variety of streaming providers such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, and many others! See here for a full list of supported streaming providers.
